Key Log Rolling goes to College

The2018 Key Log Rolling Collegiate Tournament Series is our cross country tour of competitive tournaments for college students and adult sport log rollers of all abilities. This year's tournament locations were chosen from a pool of campuses who submitted bids to be hosts. Thank you toUT-Dallas,Rutgers University,Purdue University andUCLA for hosting!

We’re half way through the series and have been thrilled with both the level of competition and the overwhelming enthusiasm from the tournament hosts and competitors. Log rolling has proven to be a fun, safe, competitive and innovative activity that college campuses are adopting to grow their intramural, club, or recreation student programs. It is so great to see!

Our success at UT-Dallas and Rutgers University has reminded us that the growth of the sport is nation wide and is fueling our excitement as we head toPurdue University on October 26 andUCLA on November 3. The development of these tournaments leaves us hopeful the sport will continue to make an impact on college campuses across the country.

The biggest thing we’ve learned is that experience is NOT required in order to have fun competing. A little friendly competition truly brings out the best in new log rollers. They step up to the plate, and usually they surprise themselves. Another theme we’ve seen is that everyone improves tremendously throughout the tournament. It’s so cool to see how the skill level increases with each match, and thus the intensity of competition.
