We’re excited to announce the 2018 Lake Minnetonka Log Rolling Invitational at James J Hill Days, sponsored by 6Smith Restaurant and Key Log Rolling! Matches will take place in a pool on Lake Street in downtown Wayzata. This is a great community festival and perfect venue for a log rolling tournament. The organizers are excited to grow with the sport!
Is this your first time competing? We'll guide you through the process! Are you an elite youth roller? Time to strut your stuff in Minnesota! This is a perfect opportunity to experience the excitement of log rolling matches, in a friendly atmosphere.
WIN A KEY LOG! Bring four team members from your club or program to compete and be eligible to win a Key Log of your choice (15" red or 13" gold). It’s a numbers game, so the more team members competing, the more chances to win! Only programs/clubs from outside the Twin Cities Metro area are eligible to win. See image below to see if your program is eligible, then RALLY YOUR TROOPS! Our goal? To promote the fun of log rolling competion in the hinterlands of Minnesota and Wisconsin!
BUT we have something for Twin Cities Metro programs as well! Bring four competitors from your club and you will be entered into a drawing for afree training/coaching sessionwith World Champ/Co-Founder/CEO of Key Log Rolling, Abby Hoeschler Delaney.
WHO IS THIS TOURNAMENT FOR?
Adult Sport Division Join the fastest growing division of log rollers in the USA! We encourage participation, regardless of your level of expertise, including college students, camp counselors, and weekend warriors!
* Adult Sport Division registration is limited to rollers 18 years and older who have never competed at the semi-pro or elite pro level.
Youth Division Whether you are a beginning log roller or an elite youth competitor, this tournament will be a great experience! It’s a perfect opportunity to give competition a try in a friendly, safe environment. For intermediate and advanced rollers, we’ll be debuting the new gold dynamite Key Log®!
* Youth divisions are based on the registrant's age as of January 1, 2018. Divisions are U-7 Co-ed, U10, U13, U17. Youth divisions may be collapsed depending on number of competitors.
* There will be a short warm-up period prior to each division.
* Matches will start promptly at 10am.
* We will run two matches at a time.
* Youth divisions roll first, followed by Adult Sport.
* A more detailed schedule of events will be sent out a few days prior to the tournament.
We will run preliminary round robin pools, with 2 out 3 fall matches. We will then use the results from the round robin to see competitors into a single elimination tournament, with 3 out of 5 fall matches.
We will use Key Log Resistance Trainers, as needed.
Early bird registration ends: August 31st, 11:59pm CST.
Registration deadline: September 7th, NOON, CST
Volunteers: We would be very grateful for your help in the following areas: registration, hospitality, judging and bracket keeping. We are also looking for volunteers for Friday September 7th and Sunday September 9th to assist with demos in our demo pool as part of the street fair festivities. Email us for details.
